Only $3995 to go!

Thanks to Claude – I have now collected my first donation to my Tribecca fund! This really excited me that I am now on my way to NYC.

I have mentioned earlier on this blog about how this summer I have an incredible opportunity to take part in a summer mission project sponsored by Campus Crusade. I will be going with approximately 90 other students from across the country to New York City. A summer spent on a project like this can be invaluable. New York provides an environment for outreach that no other place in the world can offer.

The last US Census revealed that Queens Borough in NYC was the most diverse place on the planet. The college campuses on NYC are no less so. NYC campuses represent students from a variety of ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds. In one afternoon I could meet someone from every continent. While in New York I will be exposed to a range of ministry experiences in discipleship and evangelism. This is an amazing opportunity to reach out to this unique urban center that’s been called “The Capital of the World”

Stay tuned and I will let all of yall know how to join my team of ministry partners.

Whose your Daddy?

I have to admit it. JASON EBELING IS MY FATHER.

Well… I take that back. I did not find this out until I found this article about me on the internet.

It says that “The last friend that I contacted was Justin Baysden, also from Richlands, NC, who is majoring in Aerospace Engineering and has known Brad for about six years, ever since Brad’s dad became the pastor at Discovery Church.”

Check out the article here.

This is an excellent example of why it is important to double check journalist sources…

Re-experience Easter!

Just in case you missed Easter Sunday! Now you can catch up on the unfulfilled series, and get ready for Dusty this Sunday!

Unfulfilled – Week 2

This is the first test of some new rendering we are doing before uploading video to google video. The video used to be uploaded raw, but it took forever! The Easter Message was uploaded raw and is still rendering! I was able to do this very quickly. Enjoy Jason’s message from this week!

Happy Day – Discovery Style

I saw Jason’s blog today! I thought I would make a response that had a little move discovery feel to it. Even though I liked the lighting in Jason’s clip. Enjoy!

In the Zone…

It has been just over a year since Discovery Finished up there “In the Zone” series. I challenge you to go back and listen to the series here.

This series is absolutely amazing. It lays out how to get in the zone, and let God put his Bless on you ING.

I have been “In the Zone” using Discovery’s online giving since the first sunday in Feb. Well Saturday night I had stopped by a friends apartment at Sunchase. I had parked in what I thought was guest parking (because there was a sign that said “Guest Parking starts here”)

They are not a friendly community like my apartment complex is. They have “bubba’s towing company” randomly patrol the parking lot, and they tow without any warning! So I walk out and my car is gone.

I call up bubba, and I follow him out into the ghetto to his “fence.” He tells me that its going to be $100 cash. I was afraid of that because its this lot in the ghetto behind some bond place. So I have to go down the road a few miles to an ATM and get him his money.

I get my car out of Ghetto Hell… go back very mad. I was grumbling to myself about this $100 lost – down the drain!

The thought even crossed my mind (no joke) that I should take $10 out of my tithe for 10 weeks to make it up. Fortunately I did not…

Sunday morning I go to discovery just to find the O.D.D. small group decided to bless me with a thank you gift from their small group for a video that I am working on for them. I was blown away because I definitely didn’t expect it. So I felt a little better.

Then today I get a note from Circuit City. I thought it would be some tax thing, but it turned out to be that I have an unclaimed check!

So I went from being worried about losing a benjamin to having my whole attitude turned around!

Encouraging…

Sorry for the delay in posting. I am working on getting the baptism edited and the Easter service wrapped on Google and DVD.

I came across this verse today… very encouraging.

1 Chronicles 28:20 (New International Version)
David also said to Solomon his son, “Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you until all the work for the service of the temple of the LORD is finished.
