I use Google Reader… it rocks. It is tied into my iGoogle homepage. I actually do the majority of my blog reading there instead on in the actual reader. Google Reader allows you to star articles… here are a few entries that I have starred lately.

Inside the Box Worship Ministry
-Great Article from Elevation about using limitations to spur creativity.

What it Means to Be on Staff
– Great article from Michael. It has a note sent to his team members a few months ago for some preventive maintenance.

Survey: Americans Switching Faiths, Dropping Out
-Great article from Lifechurch from Bobby Gruenewald (He is my Facebook friend). I think that this article is not taking into account the growing modern church movement. It is a good commentary on how dying churches in America do still affect the big picture.

Sunday Mind Dump!

What an awesome way to start of March!

– I haven’t got the numbers yet – but there was a good crowd this morning.
– The Price is Right continued today with a lot of excitement!
– Clffhanger blew some people’s mind today.
– I like the ProPresenter driven ATM in the Credit Card game!
– Definately hoping to switch to ProPresenter next week… Media Shout ran ok but with the heavy video content I think ProPresenter will run better
– I have created 7 videos for 2 weeks worth of services… I think they are pretty good
– The Ladies Night video got some laughs today for a 30 second vid
– I like the new Igniter Media content
– I was up way to late last night… Had to take a major afternoon nap, so I had to miss Crosslink
– I felt like Jason’s roadie today… I thought it was cool!
– Showed a teaser today for unfullfilled. I think it will be a cool series. It has a dark abstract feel that is completely different from iLife or Price is Right
– We really could have used some wash lighting today…
– We really could have used an extra camera and video mixer today…
– We really had an awesome service today though!

Passion Washington DC: Introduction

This is the awesome intro of Passion 08. It is an amazing intro using “Bittersweet Symphony” going into Tomlin’s “Let God Arise.”

Its a powerful example of using video, music, and lighting together.

Third Day Blind

Sounds like a band doesn’t it? Today is my third day being blind. It started during the last session of passion. See the story below under crazy weekend.

Basically I have been blind the past 3 days because I can’t wear my contacts. I have worn contacts for 5 years now, so I don’t have any glasses. There has never been a time that I haven’t been able to wear my contacts until now. So I went in to get some glasses. WOW! How things have changed. I felt like I had been trusted back into the 50s with all the thick black frame square glasses. I know that all sheik now, but they really don’t work on my face. Especially with my brown hair. So I ordered some that actually might look decent on me.

The only thing is that it is going to be a week and a half before I get them. So I think tomorrow I am going to try putting the contacts back in. Even though I won’t need them immediately it will be good to have the glasses as a back up. There is a lesson here somewhere… I think its “Be Prepared” because things come out of the blue that you don’t expect. Hmm… or maybe its “Expect the Unexpected”

God of This City

This year’s Passion CD “God of this City” is amazing. The title song is absolutely one of the most powerful songs I have heard in a while. It is not original to Tomlin, but it has an unbelievable story behind it. I agree with Gary Lamb about it not being my favorite style of song, but its message is so powerful. It makes it completely awesome. “Sing Sing Sing” is a new song by Tomlin. Really good song. “You are God” by Charlie Hall has an amazing grove to it, but it is SO POWERFUL. His “Walk the World” is another funky song, but it Chorus is amazing. Redman’s God of Our Yesterdays is a softer song, but still is cool. Then there is a lot of interesting live versions songs I already had. Definitely a must buy if you haven’t already.

Sunday!

I can’t believe that I missed Sunday! Seeing the pictures from The Price is Right gets me pumped. I have already been getting great feedback around campus. It’s only Monday, but I am already pumped about this weekend.

This some how plays into all of this.

As you can see its getting better! Thank you eye drops. No thank you ECU Health Services!
